Persons who have disabled license plates/placards or persons who are unable to walk long distances due to disability should contact the Office of Parking, Traffic, & Transportation at 225/ 578-5006 to secure a parking pass. This pass is required to park in an area or parking lot designated for persons with special needs. Accommodations For Graduates At the Diploma Ceremonies Disabled graduates should contact their deans' offices to arrange for accommodations at the college diploma ceremonies. Special Seating Special seating is available for persons who use a wheelchair and persons unable to walk long distances or climb stairs. Due to limited space, guests with disabilities are permitted to have only one nondisabled person sit with them in the designated area. Sign Language Interpretation Sign language interpreting services will be provided at the main ceremony but must be requested for the college diploma ceremonies. Communication arrangements must be made three days in advance of commencement. Please contact the Office of Disability Services at 225/578-5919 or 225/578-2600 (TTY).
