Film & Television
The Film & Television program is designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge not only to create and collaborate on and off stage, but on and off camera as well. The program is directly tied to the film industry in Louisiana and its need for highly skilled artists, technicians, and administrative personnel.
The Film and Television concentration is one of the only programs in the country to include hands on courses in both production technology as well as acting for the camera and content creation. Graduates receive a B.A. in Theatre: Film/TV Concentration.
Students will develop a broad comprehensive foundation in live theatre, electronic media, film production, and acting for the camera.
Students choose their overall emphasis based on personal aspirations and interests (Film Performance, Film Production, Technology, or Management).
The Film/TV Curricula includes:
- Introduction to Entertainment Technology
- Film Production (I & II)
- Digital Post Production
- Acting I & II
- Acting for the Camera (I & II)
- History of Film
- Introduction to Cinema Studies
