SLHRD Assistant Professor, Park, Presents Research on International Workforce Differences in San Antonio, TX

Dr. Sunyoung Park, Assistant Professor in the School of Leadership & Human Resource Development (SLHRD), presented at the Academic of Human Resource Development (AHRD) International Conference in the Americas in San Antonio, Texas, in March.

Dr. Park presented three research papers related to cultural and general differences in Asia, ethical corporate culture, and global leadership. Originally from Korea, Dr. Park has spent the last 10 years working with clients in government, non-profit organizations, schools, and companies. As a project manager and team leader in many different capacities, Dr. Park has extensive experience in planning, designing, and implementing diverse educational programs in both face-to-face and online environments.

At the AHRD conference, Dr. Park also attended the annual Program Excellence Network meeting as the LSU representative. SLHRD was inducted into the Program Excellence Network in February 2016 for outstanding representation in human resource development (HRD) education.

LSU is one of 22 member institutions of the network, which is dedicated to promoting and strengthening exemplary human resources programs and provides a forum for its members to explore, learn and work together to shape the future direction for HRD education.

Dr. Park’s research interests concern organizational culture and behavior, learning and performance in the workplace, and research trends in HRD and related fields. Her teaching focuses on the fields of instructional design, performance analysis, training and development, and research methods.
