Dr. Petra Robinson attends the 66th Annual American Association of Adult and Continuing Education Conference

Dr. Petra A. Robinson recently attended the 66th Annual American Association of Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) Conference in Memphis, Tennessee. The theme for the conference was Adult Education: One Chorus of Many Different Voices. Dr. Robinson also attended the annual Commission of Professors of Adult Education (CPAE) conference held in conjunction with AAACE. Dr. Robinson serves CPAE as a member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for Outreach to partners and affiliates of CPAE and AAACE. This year, she reported that her attendance at these conferences were particularly special as while she contributed to the successful organization of CPAE, she was most happy to be able to witness one of her former students, Dr. Kimberley Williams present her dissertation research at both AAACE and CPAE. Dr. Williams, Instructor and Online Programs Manager in the Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management, graduated under Dr. Robinson's mentorship in May of this year and her presentations at both conferences reported on findings of her dissertation, Silent Suffering: A Phenomenological Study of African American Women Facing Infertility and Lessons Learned for Work-Life Balance.
