Plan Your Event

Hosting a conference or workshop is a unique and effective way to gain exposure for the university, CHSE, and yourself. Gather like-minded academics to discuss trends in your field, create a learning experience for local youth, further education for your students or recent alumni…the possibilities are endless! In addition, engaging in these activities can generate critical resources to advance your  research*.

How to begin:

To begin the planning process, complete the Professional Education Proposal Submission Form.

Proposals may be submitted at any time, and will be reviewed as received.

Proposals must be submitted by March 1 for fall semester events and by September 1 for spring semester and summer events.

If you anticipate working with minors, it is a requirement that all faculty, staff, and/or volunteers involved complete the Mandated Reporter training available on the State of Louisiana Department of Family Services website.

“Isaiah had a very enjoyable time at the camp. He especially enjoyed the tours around campus and the feedback he received from the authors with regards to his personal writings. I do believe he was inspired to improve his writing skills and his self-confidence was enhanced to act accordingly.”
