School of Kinesiology Faculty Recognized by Southern Management Association

The College of Human Sciences & Education is extremely proud of its Sport Management representation at the Southern Management Association November 5-9, 2013.

The conference, held in New Orleans this year, awarded three of LSU CHSE’s own.

Honors included:

  • Dr. Brian Soebbing: outstanding reviewer for presentation & asked to serve on the best paper committee for Organizational Theory
  • Dr. Adam Pfleegor: outstanding reviewer for presentation
  • Dr. Chad Seifried: outstanding reviewer for presentation & Best Reviewer for the Management Education Track

The Southern Management Association (SMA) is a domestic affiliate of the Academy of Management. SMA provides a variety of professional activities and events for those who are interested in the study of management. It strives to keep members abreast of new knowledge and practices in the field and to create a professional community that exchanges ideas and provides assistance to others. Presently, the SMA membership consists of approximately 1,000 management professors, doctoral students, and executives representing more than 200 colleges, universities, and business firms in 43 states and several foreign countries.
