Early Childhood EducationTraining Series
December 9 | Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool | 9 a.m. - Noon
This professional development series, taught by Pathways certified trainers, covers topic areas identified in the Louisiana’s Early Learning Center Licensing Regulations. The sessions cover child development, child guidance, child abuse prevention, emergency preparation, licensing regulations, learning activities, health and safety, shaken baby prevention, CPR, first aid, management/administrative education. The sessions will occur throughout the fall and spring semesters.
The sessions are held at the LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool, a Reggio Emilia - inspired research facility. The preschool, embedded within the LSU School of Education, serves as laboratory for the generation of cutting-edge research in child development and education. It also serves as a training site for undergraduate and graduate students.
