Janet is a native of Kenner, Louisiana. She completed her Bachelor’s at the University of South Alabama in Speech and Hearing Sciences and her Master’s from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Speech Language Pathology. She finished her clinical fellowship in the New Orleans public school system where she treated a variety of pediatric communication disorders ranging from pre-school to high school students. This experience lead to Janet’s interest in the social skills of low-income children and the family dynamics of language impaired children. She is currently working on a grant researching the relationship between two prominent southern dialects and Specific Language Impairment.
