Amy Upton received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at LSU. Her undergraduate thesis examined the reliability of two questionnaires that measured parents’ perceptions of their children’s home literacy experiences. Her research interests include child language acquisition and the role of the family in children’s language and literacy development. Amy works in the lab and is funded by a NIH research assistantship
