Advancing Knowledge
LSU’s College of the Coast and Environment, or CC&E, is known for its leadership in advancing knowledge about the coast, rivers and environment. The College is at the heart of the efforts to protect Louisiana’s coast and environment. Faculty, research staff and students from the Departments of Environmental Sciences and Oceanography & Coastal Sciences perform basic and applied research related to the coastal zone and the environment. Its data assists numerous industries including energy, food, fisheries, transportation, water quality, coastal resilience and restoration, risk assessment, and other industries impacted by changes to our coast and environment.
