Science Moving Forward Meeting
The first meeting for Science Moving Forward will be held in Room 2215 of the Energy, Coast & Environment Building on October 1, 2014 at noon.
About Science Moving Forward
Science Moving forward is a group whose mission is to promote the success of both women and men in science and continue to increase the participation of underrepresented minorities in science fields and careers. The group consists of faculty, research associates, graduate and undergraduate students, and both men and women.
Our discussion includes topics such as the issues of gender in science and the role scientists play as public advisors and advocates. We also have discussions and workshops to teach skills such as the use of technology in science communication, time management, and tips for success in job applications. Everyone is welcome so please pass the word!
Science Moving Forward will meet multiple times a month from 12-1 pm in room 2215 ECE.
