What groups or organizations do you advise at LSU?
A variety of Sport Clubs, including Rugby, Equestrian, Men’s & Women’s Soccer, and Women’s Lacrosse as well as Bowling, Men’s Lacrosse, Racquetball, Powerlifting, Rowing, Tennis, Volleyball, and Ultimate Frisbee.

How long have you been advising this organization?
Roughly 3 months

How would students get involved in your organization?
There are a variety of ways, such as coming to my office here in the Rec Center and picking up information, but the best way is for students to go to the UREC website (http://www.lsu.edu/urec/html/sport_clubs.html) and look at each individual club page. Each page has accessible contact information and practice information for each club. Additionally, many of our clubs are very active on campus, such as practicing at on-campus locations or holding fundraisers and events in various campus areas, and they always welcome students to drop in and check out what activity they are doing.

Do you have any advice for students interested in getting involved on campus?
Don’t be bashful. Everyone has a niche on campus and it just takes some exploring to find out where you fit best.
