Organization Spotlight: Sigma Alpha Iota

What is the purpose of your organization?  Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI) is a service-oriented music fraternity for women who are interested in or passionate about music.

How do students get involved in your organization?  Any female student who has a passion for music and philanthropy can come to recruitment events held every semester.

What annual events are put on by your organization?  Sigma Alpha Iota coordinates the Wishing Well project for the schools in Baton Rouge. This fundraiser allows SAI to buy musical instruments and accessories for children in under-funded music programs.

What honors, awards, and/or accomplishments have your organization recently achieved?

SAI recently had the privilege of hosting Province Day, where all the SAI chapters in Louisiana were able to come together in sisterhood, strengthen their leadership skills and help out in the Baton Rouge community.
