Student organizations at LSU may need to purchase insurance for events or to travel to conferences.
The information below outlines some details for travel insurance. Insurance fees are determined by the type of event and potential risk to participants. If your organization needs to purchase insurance for an event, please email Campus Life at campuslife@lsu.edu or call 225-578-5430.
Student Trip Travel Insurance
Student Government (SG) has partnered with LSU Risk Management to cover the costs of all trip travel insurance for registered Student Organizations and University Departments. In addition to eliminating the charges, an on-line form has also been created at www.sg.lsu.edu/insurance.php.
The on-line form must be submitted prior to travel to provide coverage to club members or students during the trip. The coverage is primary and will cover students’ injuries up to $5,000. Please be aware that Student Trip Travel Insurance has some exclusions. If you have any question please contact LSU Risk Management at 225-578-3297.
