LSU announces the Campus Connections unit
LSU and the Division of Student Affairs announce Campus Connections. Housed within LSU Student Success, the unit will encompass and support three established programs: First Year Experience (FYE), Transfer Student Programs (TSP) and the William A. Brookshire Military and Veterans Student Center.
Campus Connections will provide programs, resources, and outreach to support a successful transition for first year, transfer, and veteran and military students. The department will be housed in B-31 Coates Hall, along with the Center for Academic Success.
“We are excited about rebranding as Campus Connections to more fully convey the scope of services we provide to all students – first year, transfer, and veteran and military students,” said Dr. Missy Korduner, Director of Campus Connections. Dr. Korduner continued, “We look to continue strong, established initiatives, such as Strategy Sessions, Tiger Transition Team, Bengal Bound, and STRIPES, which assist students in successfully transitioning to LSU. Additionally, we are eager to work in partnership with the campus community to create new initiatives connecting students to their peers and faculty/staff and to develop programs and opportunities to support a holistic collegiate experience.”
On Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 from 8:30-10:30a.m, Campus Connections will host an open house for all LSU students, faculty and staff in B-31 Coates Hall. Light breakfast will be served.
