Foster Hall and Cafe

Completed in 1923, this building is named for Murphy J. Foster who served as governor of Louisiana from 1879-91. Foster Hall houses the Museum of Natural Science, as well as a Foster Cafe, a quick-service campus eating facility. Dioramas depict the flora and fuana of North America, examples of Louisiana's diverse animal life, and exhibits explaining various biological principles are major attractions for visitors to the museum. No admission is charged. Hours are 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m. (Monday-Friday); 9:30a.m.-1:00p.m. (Saturday). |
