New Dining Concepts in the LSU Student Union
BATON ROUGE, LA - The LSU Student Union will be showcasing four new food concepts in the Tiger Lair this fall semester.
“We are excited to announce that Build, Create, Redstick EATS, and The Big Squeezy will be revealed this fall as the new concepts in our Tiger Lair,” said Margot Carroll, Assistant Vice President of LSU Auxiliary Services. “These concepts will offer a variety of fresh, local, and healthy products as well as fun and customizable experiences.”
Build Pizza by Design, will be a made-to-order pizza station that will feature hand-spun, personal-sized pizzas with local flavors. Customers will be able to build their own pizzas from a selection of fresh ingredients or grab a more traditional ready-to-go option.
Expanding upon the popular On-The-Geaux salad concept, Create Chop’d & Wrap’d will feature tailor-made salads, wraps, and baked potatoes. In addition to the increased variety of fresh ingredients, this new concept will be introducing a selection of local artisan salad dressings.
For those craving Louisiana cuisine, Redstick EATS will feature a rotating menu of locally inspired one-pot entrées from local chefs. This option, which will be located between Build and Create, will also feature a different daily po-boy.
The Big Squeezy, a popular Baton Rouge cold pressed juice bar, will be joining On-The-Geaux in the Tiger Lair to provide an assortment of juices and juice cleanses. The company works with the LSU AgCenter and LSU Food Incubator to develop the fresh juices and other products. The On-The-Geaux area will also welcome City Gelato. Another collaborator of the LSU Food Incubator, they will offer refreshing flavors of gelato, acai bowls, and hummus bowls.
The new construction is expected to add 100 seats to the dining area of the Tiger Lair. For more information, please visit, new.dineoncampus.com.
