Area of Research
Reniform nematode (Rotylenchulus reniformis) is a major plant parasitic nematode found on a wide range of hosts, particularly soybeans and cotton, in Louisiana. Research has shown variation among geographic isolates of R. reniformis. My research focuses on developing an abbreviated host differential assay, using cotton and soybean, to distinguish virulence phenotypes of R. reniformis.
