TAM hires new undergraduate coordinator, instructor
Donna Sapp is the new undergraduate coordinator and instructor in the Department of Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising. Sapp comes to LSU from Dallas, where she was head of the Fashion Department at the Art Institute of Dallas. She has 28 years of teaching experience and said she is excited to be back in a sewing lab.
"Sewing and apparel construction are my true love," Sapp said.
Sapp is interested in hand work such as embroidery, beading and lace work. She also said she has a passion for the history of fashion.
She will oversee advising for undergraduate students and teach beginning sewing in the fall, and the second sewing class in the spring. She is also teaching fashion trends this fall.
