Dr. Krishna P. Paudel SAEA President-Elect

Professor Krishna Paudel is elected as President-Elect of the Southern Agricultural Economics Association (SAEA). As President-Elect, he will serve the association for three years - first as president-elect (2018-2019), then as president (2019-2020) and conclude as past president (2020-2021).  Dr. Paudel also served as the editor of the association’s scholarly output - Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics from 2013-2016.  He has been a member on various committees in SAEA such as on the outstanding dissertation committee in the past. Dr. Paudel recalls that his first SAEA annual meeting attendance was in New Orleans in 1995 as a graduate student.  He has been attending the annual meeting almost regularly in all these years.  He is very proud of being a member of this outstanding association and looks forward to serving in its leadership position in coming years.

Professor Paudel earned an M.S. degree from Auburn University and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Georgia both in agricultural economics. He is currently Gilbert Durbin Endowed Professor in the Department.
