LSU Ag Week was held March 20-24. The Louisiana Egg Commission provided omelets to students Monday morning. Tuesday, the LSU Dairy Science Club held Farm Day, where youngsters got to interact with a variety of farm animals. Other organizations worked with the college to have activities for the youth, including writing thank you notes to Louisiana farmers. On Wednesday, ag student organizations set up informational booths in front of the Union. A highlight of the week was Thursday's Day of Service. Student, faculty and staff volunteers packaged 11,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger that will be sent to areas where hunger is a prevalent issue. The week concluded with an Ag Family Lunch in front of the Dairy Store for students who helped make the week a success.
