The Office of Institutional Advancement at Louisiana State University is responsible for building long-term relationships between LSU and its various constituencies in order to stimulate greater understanding and financial support.
The primary function of the office is to assist in the cultivation of major donors to the University as well as coordination of the fundraising efforts of the three foundations that serve LSU -- the LSU Foundation, Tiger Athletic Foundation, and the LSU Alumni Association.
LSU 2010: A Flagship Agenda is a seven-year strategic plan that will bring Louisiana State University to national prominence by 2010, its sesquicentennial. Achieving the National Flagship Agenda will require an increase in financial resources. LSU needs faculty and supporting staffs comparable to its peers, start-up funds for establishing research centers and programs, competitive undergraduate
scholarships and graduate student stipends, new and renovated space for research laboratories, student housing, and faculty offices, and incentives, rewards, and increased support budgets that promote and sustain faculty and student productivity.
As the financial demands on the University have grown more complex, LSUís future strength rests in large part on the solid financial foundation provided by its alumni, friends, donors, and corporate partners.
In an unprecedented move, the LSU Foundation, Tiger Athletic Foundation, and LSU Alumni Association have come together to embark on Forever LSU: The Campaign for Louisiana State University, the largest, most ambitious fundraising campaign in the history of the University. The campaign needs your support to ensure continued success in the pursuit of excellence and academic distinction among universities worldwide.
