Decorative, unusual, personal, or any other items inconsistent with a department's mission are normally not allowed.
Lamps (desks, floor, etc.) are considered personal items, therefore, university funds may not be used for their purchase unless it is determined by Facility Services that there is insufficient lighting in the area prior to the purchase.
Framing of decorative items does not require approval from Procurement. Normal purchasing rules must be followed, and the item being framed must relate to the mission of your department, the university, or the State.
