Purchase of Chairs

In order to stay consistent with general purchasing policies and procedures when purchasing chairs, please refer to the following information:

  • Chairs should be purchased off of one of the available Statewide Competitive Contracts which currently offer chairs at prices ranging from $300 - $750. Departments may not purchase a chair greater than $750.

  • If chair characteristics are considered necessary to address reasonable accommodation issues under the American's with Disabilities Act, the matter is to be reviewed and acted upon by Human Resource Management.

  • Requests for exceptions to the above are to be directed to the Director of Procurement Services for consideration.
