Office of Academic Affairs Hosts Strategic Planning Summit

Posted October 7, 2016

The Office of Academic Affairs, in partnership with the LSU Alumni Association, hosted a Strategic Planning Summit to share information and garner additional input from the campus  community.  The event was held on September 28th at the Lod Cook Conference Center and approximately 60 volunteer faculty, staff and students attended. Individuals were assigned a table where moderators presented the groups with questions in regard to one of the six transformative words that were determined to reflect the value system of LSU. Each person was allowed a few minutes to gather their thoughts and present their views to the table in approximately two minutes. Ideas and thoughts were then further discussed in detail. After a short break, the groups were assigned different tables to discuss the five thematic priorities vital to both the university and the state of Louisiana using the same format.  Later, a campus dialogue will take place to allow more feedback from those interested in lending a voice to this important document. Look for information about this upcoming event in your my LSU portal.
