The Strategic Plan Enters Next Phase During Subcommittee Planning

Posted November 21, 2016

Development of the new strategic plan for Louisiana State University continues to move forward. Through the input of faculty, staff, students, alumni, community leaders and key stakeholders, the strategic planning committee has identified five Strategic Themes that form the core of the plan. In addition, four Supporting Pillars have been cited as being key to providing a firm foundation of support to help achieve the goals outlined in the Strategic Themes narrative. Nine subcommittees, led by faculty chairs, have been identified to develop core strategies to execute the Strategic Themes and Supporting Pillars. Ultimately, the strategic plan will serve as a broad guideline for divisions, colleges, departments, centers and other academic units to use when developing individualized plans. The subcommittees will meet at least once prior to end of year and then regularly throughout the early part of 2017 to finalize its strategies, as well as accompanying metrics to measure on-going success.

Faculty, staff, students and alumni are encouraged and welcomed to participate in any of the strategic plan subcommittee meetings. Click here for a list of dates and times for all scheduled meetings.
