Strategic Plan is Further Refined at Leadership Retreat

 Posted October 4, 2016

After receiving a total of 2,158 on-line survey responses and completing the research phase of the LSU Strategic Plan, university deans, vice presidents, vice provosts, faculty and staff senate leaders were invited to attend a Strategic Planning Leadership Retreat on Wednesday, September 14. The team members reviewed the research and met in groups to share their input on six transformative words that were determined to reflect the value system of LSU. In addition, five thematic priorities vital to both the university and the state of Louisiana were confirmed and discussed at length, further shaping the strategic plan’s focus. As the plan begins to move closer to a working document, the next iteration will be presented at a Strategic Planning Summit at the end of September to gather additional input from faculty, staff and student volunteers. Later, a campus dialogue will take place to allow more feedback from those interested in lending a voice to this important document. Look for information about this upcoming event in your my LSU portal.
