LSU Pharmacy Offers Delivery Services to Faculty & Staff

Had a doctor’s visit and need a prescription filled? Allergy season got the best of you? Don’t have time in-between work and the carpool line to grab a prescription? The Pharmacy at LSU has you covered.

The Pharmacy at LSU is a full service pharmacy open to the public. Officially opened on September 12, the Pharmacy at LSU is able to fill and transfer current prescriptions and takes most insurance plans while offering competitive pricing. The pharmacy offers a variety of over-the-counter medications, nutritional supplements and personal care items, all of which can be delivered to your office at LSU free of charge.

The pharmacists work hard to ensure customers receive the best care possible by providing prescriptions within minutes, written drug information for each prescription, individual counsel, and monitor prescriptions for duplicate therapy, drug allergies and potentially dangerous drug interactions.

“The Pharmacy at LSU is another example of the university’s strong commitment to supporting the LSU community by providing a pharmacy that offers affordable medications inside the student healthcare facility,” said D’Ann Morris, executive director of the LSU Student Health Center. “The added benefit of having The Pharmacy at LSU on campus, is that all faculty and staff may also take advantage of the services and convenience, which was a high priority when we explored this opportunity. We are very proud of this endeavor.”

The pharmacy, located on Infirmary Rd, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend hours include Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., excluding home game weekends when the pharmacy is open on Sundays 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can give them a call at (225) 578 - 5651 and even sign up for text reminders to alert you when your prescription is ready for pick up.
